An Afternoon Of Artistry And Dance
WARSAW — Class Act Dance Troupe brings its award-winning pieces to the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center at 3 p.m. this Sunday, April 23.
“This concert will showcase the artistry, talent and dedication of our students,” states CADT co-director Tammy Seibold. “We have everything from a delightfully whimsical duet, ‘Sunday Candy’, created by Chicago-based choreographer Sarah Mills, to a dynamic tap production by guest artist Diane Gudat and the award-winning contemporary piece “Sound and Color”. The variety of this show will offer something for everyone.”
She also said, “Our students are passionate about dance and it shows in every moment. You can feel their intensity as they portray the impact of life’s pressures in ‘Turn to Stone,’ then with just as much conviction deliver the hard-hitting hip hop piece ‘The Game’. As the show unfolds, you will be amazed by the versatility of these dancers.”
Presale tickets may be purchased online. Tickets will be available at the door beginning one hour prior to the performance. Proceeds from the performance benefit the CADT scholarship fund. The non-profit performing company, affiliated with Debra Collier’s School of Dance, was created in 1986 to provide students with additional opportunities to use their dance training by performing for various events, organizations and participating in regional competitions. The company of 22 students, ages 9 to 18, has performed for such events as Walt Disney World’s Magic Music Days, the Legacy program in New York City and for the Harlem Globetrotters, as well as focusing on community involvement through local performances.
