Doyle R. Flory
Doyle R. Flory, 68, Tippecanoe, passed away unexpectedly, April 17, 2017 at 8:35 a.m. in his home.
Doyle was born the son of Arnold and Clarabel (Carey) Flory at Bremen Oct. 8, 1948. He was a lifelong resident of the area. Doyle had worked for Wicks Lumber helping to build pole barns and for Kermida Environmental doing air montoring and maintenance of closed landfills, montoring air quality.
He was a life time member of NRA and of National Trappers Association, along with many State Trapper Associations. Doyle’s enjoyment was; fishing, trapping, mushroom hunting and anything with enviromental conservation efforts for the Department of Natural Resources. Another passion was Camp Mollenhour where he helped with summer camps teaching trapping seminars and about nature. He also attended Tippecanoe and then Triton High School class of 1966. Doyle also served his country during the Vietnam War; 1969 – 1970.
Janie (Williams) became the bride of Doyle April 20, 1968, who survives. He was also survived by his children: Jamie (Ann) Flory of Lakeville; Erin Flory of Plymouth; and Angi Flory of Argos. Doyle was also blessed with four grandchildren: Conner, Dominic, Cooper and Logan; sisters: Audrey Griffis of Burkett; Rose (Mrs. Herschel) Walters of Bourbon; Lorraine (Mrs. Tom) Devros; brothers: Jerry (Glenda) Flory of Tippecanoe; Duane (Kathy) of Tippecanoe and Lewis (Peg) Flory of Rochester.
Preceding in death were his parents, a sister, Anita Crawford and a brother, Doug Flory.
The family will welcome friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 20 and again on Friday 10 – 11 a.m. in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Robert Rice officiating. Burial will follow in the Richland Center Cemetery.
