WARSAW — A Milford woman is facing an obstruction of justice charge after trying to interfere with a drug test.
Jamin Dewitt, 34, 9053 N. Old Road 15, Milford, has been charged with obstruction of justice, a level 6 felony, and interfering with a drug or alcohol screening test, a class B misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Dewitt was placed into Kosciusko Community Corrections on March 3 until Aug. 1. As a stipulation, Dewitt was subject to random drug screens.
The affidavit continues that on April 12, a director of KCC attempted to collect a urine sample from Dewitt. The director observed Dewitt using both hands to hold the cup to her groin area. Dewitt then became frustrated and advised that she was not going to test clean.
When Dewitt stood up the director observed a condom with what appeared to be urine in the toilet. The director removed the condom from the toilet.
The affidavit states that Dewitt advised she had obtained the urine sample from her young son and placed the condom inside of her vagina so she wouldn’t fail the drug test.
Dewitt was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail and held on a $5,250 surety and cash bond.
