NorthWood Golf: Panthers Fourth In Goshen Invite
GOSHEN – The NorthWood boys golf team notched a fourth-place finish in the Goshen Invitational Saturday.
The Panthers shot 341 to take fourth in the 13-team event held at the Maplecrest Country Club.
Sean Hogan led the way for NorthWood as he finished second overall with a round of 78.
Caleb Lung also had a strong day for the Panthers as he fired an 81 to finish in fourth place among individuals. Taylor Wiegans shot an 88, while Nick Sherk had a 94 and Randy Kauffman a 99 for the Panthers.
Plymouth shot a 325 to claim the team championship. Fairfield was second at 331 with Northridge taking third at 338.
The NorthWood junior varsity team placed third in the 14-team field at the Rochester JV Invitational Saturday at the Round Barn Golf Club.
CMA won the team title with a 342 with Warsaw second at 365 and NorthWood third at 387.
Jacob Falk tied for fourth overall with a round of 88 to pace the Panthers. Keaton Kitson shot a 94 and Micah Pippenger 95 for NorthWood. Liam Hammond had a 110 and Noah Schwartz a 120.
NorthWood faces Fairfield on Monday evening.
