Grace Golf: Lancers Compete In Pilot Invite
Tristan Nienhuis and Tyler Ham led the Lancers after Friday’s round as each had shot 77.
Jonathan Schram bettered that total when he carded a 76 on Saturday to charge up the individual leaderboard. His second-round 76 was the fifth-best round of the day and, when coupled with his total of 80 on Friday, helped Schram gain 16 spots on the leaderboard to end in 15th.
Nienhuis was two strokes behind Schram with a 77-81, and Ham was not far off with a 77-85.
Chad Spencer ended with a tournament total of 169, and Jacob Kennedy rounded out the scoring with an 85-88.
Max Leary also competed as an individual, highlighted by his round of 83 on Saturday.
Grace beat out fellow league rival Bethel by one stroke as a team to place fifth overall.
The Lady Lancers were consistent from Friday to Saturday at Blackthorn, even dropping their team score by four strokes between rounds.
Lauren Keiser and Sydney Abbott tied for the team lead. Keiser was consistent with an 86-86, and Abbott fired a second-round 84.
Anna Marshall was two strokes behind Keiser and Abbott, highlighted by Friday’s 84, and Libby Tully completed the team’s scoring with a 93-87. Stevie Luebbert also competed for Grace, finishing with a 190.
