WARSAW — Kosciusko County officers have arrested the remaining suspect involved in the Tuesday morning armed robbery at a North Webster residence.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies located Jesse James Roberson, 19, North Webster, yesterday shortly after 7 p.m. inside a residence at 9639 E. Seneca Lane, Cromwell, and took him into custody without incident. Roberson was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony robbery with a deadly weapon. Roberson is also being held on a probation violation warrant issued from the state of Michigan.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Detectives stated that information and anonymous tips were obtained throughout yesterday that led offices to the Papakeechie Estates location. Once inside the residence, officers located drug paraphernalia, along with weapons that were reportedly stolen from the original armed robbery. Deputies stated that Roberson was located with a chrome handgun in his possession at the time of the actual arrest.
Roberson is currently being held on a prosecutorial hold in the Kosciusko County Jail. K.C.S.D. detectives stated that the various citizens’ tips were instrumental in the location and arrest of Roberson.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
