P4C Paddle Club Receives Grant For Watershed Stewardship Campaign Project
The Arrow Head Country RC&D met in Winamac to award over $55,000 in grants to 15 groups from 7 counties in the RC&D area. Arrow Head is pleased to award $5,000 to P4C Paddle Club Inc. for their Watershed Stewardship Campaign project.
This project will allow P4C to purchase some of the equipment necessary to continually clear the Tippecanoe River of logjams, trash and debris as well as provide educational opportunities to the local Elementary STEM programs all while giving the community opportunities to help make a difference in keeping the rivers and streams clean and healthy. Each of these efforts will allow for water to flow more freely and provide easier canoe and kayak access to everyone while learning about our local waterways.
Arrow Head Country RC&D has given over $185,000 in grants during the past three years to all 10 member counties. Arrow Head Country Resource Conservation and Development Area Inc is non-profit organization comprising all of Cas, Fulton, Jasper, Kosciusko, Marshall, Miami, Newton, Pulaski, Starke and White counties. The purpose of the organization is to provide local leadership for developing and carrying out a plan for the orderly conservation improvement, development and wise use of the natural resources, thereby improving the quality of life for all the people living in the area.
