Larry E. King, 81, Warsaw, passed away at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake.
On Sept. 14, 1935, he was born in Warsaw to Earl Raymond and Myrtle (Winsley) King. He was united in marriage to Avalean Stephens on April 12, 1964 in Pierceton who preceded him in death on Sept. 30, 2007.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Larry graduated from Pierceton High School in 1953. He served our country honorably in the United States Army from 1960 – 1964. Larry then worked for Indiana Coated Fabrics, Warsaw, retiring in 2005. He was a member of Living Hope Ministry, Warsaw and had a dedicated relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had a great love for his family and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears.
Larry is survived by his son David (Deanna) King, Warsaw; grandson, Dillon David King, Warsaw; brother, Terry (Jane) Hill, Warsaw; sister, Malveen Kelly, Warsaw; four nephews, Chad Hill, Chip Hill, Brent Roberts and Duane Roberts and a great nephew, Briar Roberts. He was also preceded in death by his parents, son, Jimmy King, nephew, Casey Roberts and niece, Leigh Ann Roberts.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Lewis Wedsel Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery, South Whitley, Indiana with military honors provided by the American Legion Post #49, VFW Post #1126, Warsaw and the Army Funeral Honor Guard.
Visitation hours will be from 6–8 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 in the funeral chapel.
