April 6, 1917 the United States entered World War I. One hundred years ago today our “Doughboys” began heading to Europe to fight Imperialism and secure Democracy. It was supposed to be the “war to end all wars”. Actually it was the beginning of the bloodiest Century on record as the free world has fought Imperialism, Communism, Fascism and the uprising of Radical Islam.
53,402 Americans died in combat during this war. 204,000 were wounded. 17 Million people were killed during the conflict worldwide.
Take a moment to remember the sacrifice of men and women 100 years ago who secured our liberty. Take a moment to pray for peace.
