Etna Green Woman Caught With Methamphetamine While In County Jail
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — An Etna Green woman was booked into the county jail on a probation violation. Two days later, staff discovered methamphetamine on her person.
Vanessa Eileen Arnold, 21, 318 W. Spring St., Etna Green, is being charged with a probation violation, possession of narcotics and possession of methamphetamine.
Arnold was previously convicted of possession of methamphetamine in Kosciusko County Circuit Court on May 5, 2016. She was sentenced to serve 30 days executed and a year on probation.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, an officer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department got word that Arnold had left Serenity House and was using drugs. The officer and a representative of the probation department went to Serenity House on March 27 when Arnold was returning for her belongings.
A drug test was conducted and Arnold tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin. Arnold was immediately booked into the jail for probation violation.
Two days later on March 29 jail staff received information that Arnold had contraband on her person. Officers removed Arnold from the cell area and she admitted to possession methamphetamine. She handed over an orange plastic tube and a plastic bag that contained 3.5 grams of methamphetamine.
