SYRACUSE — Kellen M. McCarty, 33, Slippery Rock Road, Indianapolis, and Cynthia J. Wagner, 19, East CR 500N, North Webster, both complained of pain following a two-vehicle accident Friday, March 24. The accident was at 4:48 p.m. on South Huntington Street (SR 13), north of East Pickwick Drive, Syracuse. McCarty and Wagner refused medical treatment at the scene.
Wagner was stopped waiting to turn left onto the annex road when her vehicle was struck from behind by McCarty’s vehicle. McCarty told police his foot slipped off the brake pedal and he pushed the accelerator instead. Due to a recent stroke, he stated he has had trouble controlling parts of his body.
Damage was estimated up to $25,000.
The accident was investigated by Syracuse Police Department. Turkey Creek Township Fire Department assisted at the scene.
