NORTH WEBSTER — If you’re looking for fun things to do over spring break next week, bring the kids to the North Webster Community Public Library for Family Bingo 1 p.m. Thursday, April 6. This is one of the library’s most popular events. It’s fun and easy to play for kids of all ages with lots of chances to win and prizes for everyone.
The kids can make a spring craft while Miss Debby reads stories during Crafts and Stories 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 4. Then 1 p .m. Saturday, April 8 is Lego Club with free-style Lego building fun for ages five to 12. Parents can join in, too. Legos are provided.
Bring the kids anytime throughout the week to check out books, movies or play kits or have fun playing games and other activities on the Youth Department computers. If you can’t escape to a warm climate over spring break, come in and enjoy the warm, friendly atmosphere at the library.
Having the kids home all week might be a bit stressful. Unwind and de-stress with some Adult Coloring 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 4. Enjoy a relaxing time with other adults listening to soothing music and creating something lovely. The library supplies the coloring sheets and gel pens.
There are still openings left for the Beginning Genealogy Course that starts 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 3. Geared for those wanting to get started in genealogy, this four-class course will be held every Monday in April. The course is free, but pre-registration is needed. Sign up at the Circulation Desk or call (574) 834-7122.
Registrations are also being accepted at the Circulation Desk for a tour of the local National Weather Service Station 2 p.m. Thursday, April 13. Join the tour and learn about weather forecasting, how watches and warnings are issued, weather technology and more.
Planning a trip over spring break? Audio books make excellent traveling companions for in the car or relaxing poolside. The library has updated its collection with many new titles by popular authors. Children’s audio books are also available. Check some out to take along on the trip.
