Middle School Swimming: NorthWood Strong At Conference Meet
WAKARUSA — The NorthWood Middle School Swim team suited up one last time for the Big 11 Conference championship meet Thursday evening. The team was ready to rock the blocks as the girls team ended up with a strong third place finish and the boys brought home the tournament runner up trophy.
Everyone came away from the night with personal best times and nearly everyone made it onto the top six podium for awards. The Panthers came away with a few conference winners that included Madison Weaver in 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle, Alex Bowers in 100 individual medley and 25 butterfly, Elle Roberts in 25 freestyle and 25 backstroke, and Cristian Cervantes in 25 backstroke.
To add to the great evening there were also three school records broken. One by Madison Weaver in 50 freestyle and Elle Roberts again broke her own records in the 25 freestyle and 25 backstroke. The team did a phenomenal job this years.
