Alton Wireman, 88, North Manchester, died at 3:55 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
He was born Sept. 13, 1928 in Waldo, Ky. to Russell & Martha (Shepherd) Wireman. On February 27, 1954 he married Katie Whitaker. He served in the US Army. Alton retired from Invesys Controls North Manchester in 1993 after 35 years of service. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed farming. He was a great husband, father and grandpa. He loved his family dearly and would help them in any way he could. His family is comforted knowing he is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He attended Manchester Bible Church, North Manchester, IN.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Wireman, North Manchester; sons, Gregory (Sandy) Wireman, Warsaw; and Brian A. (Ann) Wireman, Anchorage, Alaska; daughters, Juanita McCune, North Manchester; Wanda L. (Bob) King, Wabash; Lynda K. Wireman, Mich.; and Christine (Stuart) Hamblen, Angola; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Four brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Family and friends may call from 1-2 p.m. Friday, March 24 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 24 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Pastor J. P. Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia, IN.
