WCHS 10th Grader Places First In Inspired By Audubon Art Competition
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Museum of Art is proud to announce that Annie Carter, a 10th grader at Warsaw Community High School, placed first in the Inspired by Audubon Art Competition.
Her acrylic painting “Common Loon” was created in Mr. Swartzentruber’s painting class. The Common Loon lives on lakes in Canada and the northern States. They must have clear water for fishing and can be spotted in Kosciusko County. They migrate as far Texas and California.
Carter also earned two gold keys and a silver from Scholastics a few weeks ago. She hopes to follow her father, Kevin Carter’s, footsteps into a career in the visual arts. For me information about the exhibit visit here. To see more of Carter’s work visit her Instagram page, @anniecart.art.
