Mark A. Slabaugh
Mark A. Slabaugh, 60, Leesburg, died Monday, March 13, 2017, of a heart attack.
He was born in Warsaw on Aug. 20, 1956 to George E. and Charlotte (Mason) Slabaugh.
He was the owner and operator of A Cut Above Lawn Service. Previously he worked at Frontline Manufacturing in Leesburg.
He graduated Triton High School in 1974 where he played football. He attended Indiana University and was a loyal Indiana Hoosier fan, despite his daughter’s allegiance to Purdue. He was a handy man who enjoyed fixing things, working on projects in his garage and hunting for mushrooms in the spring. He will be missed by his family, friends and loyal dog, Bandit.
He was preceded in death by father George E. Slabaugh and brother Frank Slabaugh.
He is survived by his children: Brooklynne (Brandon) Dalton, Tuscola, Ill.; Spencer Slabaugh, Indianapolis; mother Charlotte (Mason) Slabaugh, Etna Green; brothers: Seth (Kathleen) Slabaugh, Muncie; Todd (Davi) Slabaugh, Etna Green; Steven Slabaugh, Warsaw; step grandchild Kaylee Baker, Warsaw; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday, March 16 at the Etna Green Church of Christ 206 W Broadway Etna Green. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will folow at a later date in Etna Green Cemetery next to his parents.
