Wildcat Quartet, Viking Duo Highlight All-TRC Basketball
NORTH MANCHESTER – With Southwood’s exit from the state tournament, the lid was put on the Three Rivers Conference boys basketball participation for the 2016-17 season. Tuesday, the conference issued its All-TRC honorees.
Southwood and Maconaquah both finished 8-1 to share the TRC title this season, and both had ample representation. Southwood had Carson Blair, Peyton Trexler and Matt Nose all were named First Team All-TRC, while Maconaquah had Wyatt Hughes and Chandler Pitts named First Team All-TRC. Dallas Holmes of Southwood and Ethan Larason of Maconaquah were named Honorable Mention All-TRC.
Whitko was 6-3 and had its trio of Nate Walpole, River West and Spencer Sroufe as First Team All-TRC and Collin Craig named Honorable Mention All-TRC.
Manchester and Peru were both 5-4, the Squires with David McAtee and Mason Hamby on the First Team and Koehl Fluke as Honorable Mention, the Tigers with Jerimiah Johnson and Jonah Lester on the First Team and Bailey Gardner as Honorable Mention.
Tippecanoe Valley was 4-5 and had Alec Craig as First Team and Keith Wright as Honorable Mention.
Wabash and Northfield were both 3-6, the Apaches with Luke Mattern as Honorable Mention and the Norse with both Cody Holmes and Kyle Reed on the First Team and Austin Trump as Honorable Mention.
Rochester was 2-7 and placed Jordan Reinholt on the First Team and Ben Perez on Honorable Mention and North Miami at 1-8 had Marko Krstic named Honorable Mention All-TRC.
