Edgewood Ladies Conclude Hoops Season
PLAINFIELD – The Edgewood Middle School 8th grade girls basketball team wrapped up its outstanding season Saturday by going 1-1 in the Indiana Middle School State Tournament.
Edgewood opened play in the tourney with a 31-29 loss to Portage on the final play of the game.
Kensie Ryman led the way for her team with nine points. Kendra Love, Audrey Grimm and Brooklyn Fitzgerald each had six points. Lindsey Bradley added two points.
Fitzgerald netted 11 points to lead Edgewood to a 36-15 win over Maconaquah in the consolation game.
The duo of Ryman and Love each scored six points in the win. Bradley had five points, while Grimm had four. The duo of Faith Delp and Aubrey Hepler each had two points in the victory.
Edgewood finishes its season with a mark of 17-3.
