Micheal L. Wise
Micheal L. Wise, 67,rural Akron, passed at 1:30 a.m., Monday, March 6, 2017, Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center of Wabash, after being in failing health for 5 years.
He was born on Jan. 26, 1950 in Warsaw to Lonus and Virginia (Currie) Wise.
He married on Nov. 22, 2003 in Akron to Annette Hartman, she survives.
He had been employed by Tippecanoe School Corporation since 1978 as a bus driver and custodian.
He graduated from Akron High School in 1968. He then attended Manchester College and Purdue University. While at Purdue he sang in the Purdue Glee Club. Mike also was a farmer growing up on a dairy farm. He made custom hay for several people. He was an active member of the Fulton County Historical Society and served on the board for more than 15 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, and the Mizpah Shrine. In earlier years he was a member of the Fulton County Players and in his youth he was active in Kosciusko County 4-H. He was always an avid Allis-Chalmers fan and owner.
He is survived by his wife, Annette; his sister, Nedra (Dale) Wilcoxson, Pierceton; his nieces and nephews: Brent Fultz, Lori Montgomery and Julie Garofalo; eight great nephews.
Honoring Mike’s wishes no services are being planned at this time.
