Wilma Hochstetler
Wilma Hochstetler, age 90, of Milford, passed away at 4:10 p.m., Thursday, March 2, 2017 at her residence. She had been ill with Pancreatic Cancer for 7 weeks. She was born February 2, 1927 in Elkhart County to Henry C. and Mary (Mullet) Hochstetler. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church. On August 15, 1948 she married Omer E. Hochstetler. He preceded her in death July 29, 2015.
Wilma is survived by her children, LaMar O (Sarah) Hochstetler, Milford, Paul D. (Kathryn) Hochstetler, Goshen, Henry E. (Rose) Hochstetler, Bremen, Mary Ellen (Allen) Schwartz, Milford, LeAnna (Neal) Bontrager, Colon, MI; 39 grandchildren; 132 great-grand children; a sister-in-law, Sadie (Noah) Beachy, Marshfield, GA; and a step brother, Melvin Mast, Morristown, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Rosanna Bontrager; brothers, Jerome, Edward, and Jonas Hochstetler; sisters, Susie Slabaugh, Barbara Troyer, Christena Bontrager, Sara Beachy; and 4 infant siblings.
Family and friends may call after 1 p.m., Saturday, March 4 and after 1 p.m., Sunday, March 5 at the family residence (4697 W. 1050 N.). Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m., Monday, March 6 also at the family residence. Home Ministry of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate and burial will be in Graber Cemetery. Arrangements are with Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee.
