Valeria K. Kintzel
Valeria K. Kintzel, 74, Etna Green, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, in her home with her family at her side after an illness.
Valeria was born Nov. 20, 1942, in Marshall County to Claude and Ula (Holderead) Davis. She has been a resident of the Bourbon and Etna Green area all her life. She was a graduate of Bourbon High School in 1960. She had worked in trailer factories, Mallard at Etna Green and Newmar Co. which she retired from.
Valeria was a member of The Bourbon American Legion #424 Ladies Auxiliary; Sr. and Jr. O.N.O. club of Etna Green and Wednesday ladies euchre club. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to tropical destinations like Mexico, Bora Bora, Dominican Republic and Aruba.
On June 19, 1960, she married the love of her life, Noble Kintzel with whom she made a wonderful life of happiness.
He survives along with two daughters: Teresa (Steve) Jackson of Mentone; and Paula Johnson of Etna Green. Also surviving is four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two sisters: Bonnie Barrett of Tippecanoe and Harriet Brown of Warsaw.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Sarah French and three brothers: Claude “Red” Davis, Chuck Davis and Donnie Davis.
The family will receive friends from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, March 3 in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon 46504. Funeral services will be on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with burial following in Etna Green Cemetery.
