Edgewood Cagers Post Tourney Wins
WARSAW – Kensie Ryman had a big game as the Edgewood Middle School 8th grade girls basketball team topped Lincoln in tournament play Thursday night.
Ryman tossed in 15 points as Edgewood posted a 32-28 win.
Audrey Grimm and Brooklyn Fitzgerald each had six points for the winners. Kendra Love added four points and Lindsey Bradley one for Edgewood.
Edgewood, now 14-2, will face either Riverview or Crestview in round two of the tourney Saturday.
The Edgewood 7th grade ladies rolled to a 50-21 win over Lincoln.
Bailie Stephens netted 14 points and Mackenzie Sokol 13 for the winners.
Adin Um and Abby Taylor each scored six points and Abby Sanner and Eryn Watmough each had four. Hannah Hatfield added two points and Marin Hart one.
Edgewood plays Riverview Saturday at 9 a.m. at Indian Springs Middle School in Columbia City.
