June Louise (Baker) Auer, 96, Syracuse, passed away March 1, 2017 at her home.
She was born Sept. 3, 1920 in North Webster to Harold and Helen (Browne) Baker.
She was a 1938 graduate of North Webster High School. On Dec. 30, 1940 she married Nelson Auer who preceded her in 2008. June owned and operated a beauty shop in North Webster before she and Nelson moved to Syracuse.
Over the years she was a member of Mother’s Club, Wednesday Afternoon Club, Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid golfer and longtime member of Maxwelton Golf Club.
For over 25 years she wintered in Lake Placid, Fla., enjoying golf and warm breezes. She is survived by her daughter: Janice (Dave) Wright; sister-in-law: Helen Baker; two nieces and four nephews.
She was preceded by her husband, parents, and two brothers Richard and Gary Baker.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
