Etna Green Man Arrested After Kicking A Female, Resisting Law Enforcement
WARSAW — An Etna Green man was arrested after kicking a female and refusing to respond to police officers.
Michael C. Kistner, 40, 128 S. Etna Street, Etna Green, is being charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony, and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Feb. 23, an officer met with a woman in regards to a domestic abuse complaint. The victim stated she, Kistner and another individual had been arguing when Kistner became angry and kicked her knee, causing her pain.
The victim stated she was leaving the house with the other male when Kistner called her names and followed her to the vehicle. As she entered the driver’s seat, Kistner got into the back seat and attempted to prevent her from driving away.
Two officers located Kistner at his residence in Etna Green. The officer asked Kistner three times to exit the residence. Kistner refused all three times. As Kistner stepped out of the doorway to yell at the victim, the officers grabbed him and placed him in hand restraints.
Two minor children were present when the battery occurred.
Kistner was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 22, on a bond of $5,250 surety and cash.
