Esther M. Wrightsman
Esther M. Wrightsman, 83, Silver Lake, died at 6:55 p.m. on Thursday, February 23 in her daughter’s home, Harlan.
She was born February 16, 1934 in Wabash County to Elbert F. & Laura (Blocher) Lewis.
She graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1952. On March 29, 1952 she married Harold R. Wrightsman. He died December 27, 2013.
She was a hairdresser for 20+ years. She loved birds and cats and enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was a very caring, loving mother and grandmother. She attended Manchester Bible Church, North Manchester.
She is survived by son, Michael Wrightsman, Silver Lake; daughters, Joyce (Tom) Higgs, Harlan, and Deborah Wrightsman, Fort Wayne; brothers, Ira (Nancy) Lewis, Claypool and Elbert “Bud” (Ethel) Lewis, North Manchester; sisters, Margaret (Ralph) Montel, Warsaw, Dorothy (Lee) Marvel, Phoenix, AZ, Pat (Marvin) Brunk, West Alexander, Ohio and Phyllis (John) Gove, Spring Hill, Fla.; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
One son, Jerry Wrightsman, died Nov.13, 1977 and one daughter, Judy Ulrey, died Dec. 6, 2011. One brother and two sisters are also deceased.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1 at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Pastor Jeff Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Cemetery, North Manchester.
