Warsaw Community Public Library Announces Spring Events

WARSAW — Spring is on the way and Warsaw Community Public Library is warming up with the following programs. Teens ages 13-17 are invited to Drop In Zone from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 1.
Off the Shelf reading group meets from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, March 2, to discuss, “The Curious Charms of Arthur Pepper,” by Phaedra Patrick.
Chess Club meets at 10 a.m. every Saturday.
Board Game Club begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18.
Scrabble Club meets at noon Saturday, March 18.
Cookbook Club will assemble jar salads from 10-11 a.m. Monday, March 6. Bring your own jar.
Sally Reuter returns at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, to teach beginning rug hooking. $12 due at registration.
The Lake City Piecemakers quilt club meets at 9:15 a.m. Friday, March 10.
Families are invited to a movie at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11. Call or go online for movie title.
The Knit and Purl Club meets at 6 p.m. Monday, March 13.
The Writer’s Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 13. Topics are, “St. Patrick’s Day,” “When I’m 100 Years Old, I’ll…” and “The Other 80 Percent of My Brain That I Don’t Use…”
Iditarod dog sled racer Karen Land will share her experiences at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, along with sled dog Romano.
Rachel Kruger will teach a wool felted bunny craft class from 5:30-7 p.m. Monday, March 20. The cost is $20, with $5 due at registration.
WCHS foreign language teacher Ginger Tseng will kick off a new travel series at 6 p.m. Monday, March 20, with a discussion about Taiwan, along with a few phrases travelers would need to know.
Hooked on Crochet meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 21.
David Kolbe returns at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, with a historical look at Cuba.
Terry DuPont will lead sessions on Social Security from 5-7:30 p.m. Monday, March 27, and 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 28.
Faith Ketterer will lead her monthly card making class at 6 p.m. Monday, March 27. The cost is $8, with half due at registration.
Creative Canvas returns at 6 p.m. Monday, March 27. Participants will create “Midnight Magnolia.” $18 due at registration.
The monthly book and movie discussion time is at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28.
Sheila Ronk will lead a free make-it, take-it Easter chick craft at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30. No children younger than 10. Registration required.
