Valley Basketball: Vikings Rise Past Culver
AKRON – A sleepy Tippecanoe Valley boys basketball team came alive in the second half of a 54-46 win Tuesday night against Culver.
The Cavs held a 21-13 lead at the half and looked poised to put away the hosts, but a five-point second quarter for the Vikings was a thing of the past once play began in the third quarter. Valley exploded for 21 points in the third quarter and hung another 20 in the fourth.
Alec Craig was at the front of the Valley charge Tuesday night, scoring a game-high 23 points to go with four rebounds, three assists and three steals. Keith Wright added 13 points and Tanner Trippiedi added a three, three rebounds and three assists.
Josh Krsek led Culver with 15 points and six boards. Nate Carnegie had 14 points and six boards while Cash Harris 11 points and two steals.
