M. Lynn Atwood
M. Lynn Atwood, 70, Syracuse, passed away at 2:44 a.m. Feb. 13, 2017 at the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
She was born Sept. 4, 1946 in Indianapolis to Richard K. and Beverly (Morse) Weisenfluh.
She graduated in 1965 from Arlington High School in Indianapolis and was married in Indianapolis to H. James “Jim” Atwood who preceded her on June 4, 2014. She formerly lived in Indianapolis, North Webster, and Fort Wayne before moving to Syracuse. She was formerly employed for Wawasee Community School Corporation as a paraprofessional at Syracuse Elementary and formerly co-owned and operated Signs Now in Fort Wayne.
She was a member of the Church of God in North Webster as well as the boat in worship on Lake Wawasee in the summer. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafts, working in the yard, spending time at the lake with family, friends, and neighbors.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill (Matt) Stahl, Fishers; four sons: Jeff (Melissa) Atwood, Leesburg; Brent (Tricia) Atwood and Darin (Michelle) Atwood, both of Fishers; and Joshua (Ashley) Atwood, Carmel; a stepdaughter, Lisa (David) Georges, Hollywood, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; two brothers: John Weisenfluh, Huntington Beach, Calif.; and Kurt (Krista) Weisenfluh, Schererville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Richard M. “Chip” Weisenfluh.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1–5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Atwood home, 712 E. Medusa St., Syracuse with Pastor Jeff Boyer officiating a brief service at 2 p.m.
