Marjorie E. St. John
Marjorie E. St. John, 87, Rochester passed away Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Lakeland General Hospital, Lakeland, Fla.
In Peru, Aug. 24, 1929, Marjorie E. Becker was born. She was the treasured daughter of Albert and Winifred Brach Becker. Growing up she shared her childhood with a brother Bob.
On Feb. 2, 1952, in Kokomo’s St. Patrick Catholic Church, Marjorie married the love of her life, Mr. Fred St. John. For more than 65 years they shared life’s adventures. From their union came two wonderful sons, Steve and Jeff. The family tree continued to grow with the added blessings of three grandchildren. With the arrival of Charlotte Rose Meyer on Feb. 12, the St. John’s added a fourth generation.
Dedicated to the Hanna – Small – Sabatini & Becker Law Office in Logansport, Marjorie was a legal secretary retiring after 41 years of service. Following her retirement, she and Fred enjoyed wintering in Florida. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Left to cherish Marjorie’s memory are her beloved husband, Fred at home; two sons: Steve St. John; Jeff St. John and wife Carol of Edwardsville, Ill.; and three grandchildren: Deanne Meyer and husband Ben; Danielle St. John; and Demi St. John; and great granddaughter, Charlotte Rose Meyer.
Preceding her in death are her parents and a brother, Bob Becker.
The family of Marjorie E. St. John will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 in the Good Family Funeral Home, 1200 West 18th Street, Rochester. Following Marjorie’s wishes, private family services will be held, followed by entombment in the Sunset Memory Gardens of Kokomo.
