Bailey Appointed As Director Of Community Corrections
WARSAW — Anna Bailey was named as the new director of the Kosciusko County Community Corrections during a special board meeting held last night, Monday, Feb. 13.
The executive committee of Community Corrections met two weeks ago to review applications for the director position. The committee had re advertised the position after revising the requirements to allow applicable job experience to replace a college degree requirement. Bailey’s application was among the new applications the board reviewed.
During Monday’s meeting, a motion was made to promote Bailey to director. Bailey previously served as an officer within Community Corrections. When Barry Andrew resigned from the director position in April 2016, Bailey along with Cari Whitaker, the administrative assistant, took on the director’s responsibilities.
The board unanimously approved to promote Bailey to the director position. She will start the new position immediately, leaving an officer position to be filled.
