Wawasee Basketball: RedHawks Hand Warriors NLC Goose Egg
GOSHEN — The Wawasee boys basketball team suffered a heartbreaking defeat Friday night at the hands of Goshen. The RedHawks held on for a 42-41 victory to send Wawasee to 0-7 in conference play for the year.
Goshen held a 22-18 lead at the half and outscored Wawasee 23-20 in the final two quarters to hand the Warriors their 42nd conference defeat in a row.
Wawasee’s Trevon Coleman led all scorers with 20 points while Will Line led Goshen with 17.
Wawasee (5-12, 0-7) hosts Mishawaka Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Wawasee’s JV fell 48-37. No stats were provided for the JV game.
