Lorraine L. Curry, 81, North Webster, passed away at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 at Goshen Hospital in Goshen.
She was born on July 14, 1935 in Delaware County to Aurel and Jeanette (Stanton) Stevens.
She graduated from Muncie Central High School and attended Ball State University in Muncie. She was married on Sept. 5. 1955 in Muncie to Robert P. “Bob” Curry, who survives. She was a homemaker, was formerly a church secretary at Assembly of God in Muncie and Terre Haute, and worked at Indiana Glass in Dunkirk. She grew up in Muncie and moved to North Webster in 1994 from Terre Haute.
She was a member of the Church of God in North Webster and Wawasee Camp of the Gideon’s Auxiliary in Syracuse, and formerly attended the Assembly of God in Muncie & Terre Haute.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; two sons: Robert (Nancy) Curry Jr., Fishers; Steven (JoAnn) Curry, Chicago; two grandchildren, Steven Curry and Jennifer Graves; great grandson, Jaxson Gravres.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Shirley Shroyer, and brother, Charles Stevens.
Visitation will be from noon – 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 at Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Boyer and Pete Gross officiating. Committal burial services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 13 at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave, Muncie, IN.
