Evans Confesses To Child Molestation
WARSAW — A Warsaw man came forward to Warsaw Police Department stating he had molested a child in the 1990s.
David Earl Evans, 61, 1755 E. Boulder Drive, Warsaw, is being charged with count I child molesting, a class A felony, and count II child molesting, a level C felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department received information that Evans wanted to confess to a child molesting that occurred several years ago.
When officers spoke with Evans he admitted to fondling a juvenile for sexual gratification in 1995 through 1999, from the time she was under 14 years of age and continuing into her college years. Evans performed sexual acts on the juvenile and began having sexual intercourse with her when she was in high school.
The affidavit of probable cause states that when officers spoke to the female victim she advised that she was the victim of sexual molestation and sexual misconduct by Evans throughout her life. She provided officers with details about the sex acts Evans performed while she was under 14 years of age.
Evans was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 7 for child molestation on a $50,250 surety and cash bond.
