Clyde Reed — UPDATED
He was born July 24, 1940 in Aurora, Ill. to George and Alice (Bogdon) Reed.
Clyde was a truckdriver for North Express of Winamac. He also drove for Pierceton Trucking, Sealed Power of Rochester, and Peabody Retirement Community of North Manchester.
He was a graduate of Akron High School in 1958. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, the American Legion, and VFW all of Rochester. He enjoyed reading and was a White Sox, Oakland Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts fan.
He is survived by his sons: Wade Reed, Salt Lake City, Utah; Brett Reed, Akron; Todd Reed, Salt Lake City, Utah; one grandchild; four great grandchildren; a brother, George (Pam) Reed, Akron.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bruce; and step-father, Charles Pearson.
Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. The funeral will follow directly after. Burial will be at Mentone Cemetery.
