YMCA Soccer: Indoor Season Ready To Kick Off
WARSAW – Registration for Indoor Youth Soccer for ages three to third grade is going on now at the Kosciusko Community YMCA. It’s easy to sign up and a membership to the Y is not required.
The Y’s soccer program is a safe environment for children to learn practical and social skills and develop positive values. Kids want to exert energy, discover who they are and what they can achieve and be accepted among each other; the Y is the place they can do that. Teamwork and sportsmanship will be stressed over winning and everyone will get a chance to play.
The league offers three divisions, one for ages three to four, one for those age five to first grade and one for second and third grade. Practices and games will be held on Saturday mornings at the Y. In addition to being a good opportunity for kids, indoor soccer will also give parents the opportunity to take an active role as a coach.
Register at either the Parkview Warsaw YMCA on Mariners Drive or the North Webster branch inside the North Webster Community Center. Registration will be open until Feb. 24. The first game will be March 4 and the last April 15 with no games on April 1 over spring break. Contact Zane Gard with any questions at (574) 269-9622 x238 or [email protected].
