KOSCIUSKO — Combined Community Services, a nonprofit hub for food, clothing, emergency financial assistance and other services for those in need throughout Kosciusko County, hosted a social services session for the Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy this week.

The KYLA team cleaned, worked in the food pantry and helped with office work, witnessing first-hand the significance of community generosity. Thereafter, Eric Lane educated the group on Fellowship Missions, a non-profit organization that partners with several local agencies and volunteers to provide shelter, food, clothing, spiritual support, and other service programs to help community members in need rebuild their lives.

“Homelessness owns no face; it runs the spectrum”, said Eric, explaining that shelter residents range from newborns to elderly with a wide range of hardships.  Eric emphasized to the students, “Everything we do is based on relationships; that is where life change happens.”
