As a result, certain positions in these businesses were eliminated or consolidated. Affected employees will be supported with a range of severance and outplacement benefits.”
Zimmer Biomet employees roughly 5,000 people locally and 18,000 people worldwide as of 2015. The organization has operations in more than 25 countries and sells products in more than 100.
A spokesperson for the company stated that approximately 0.5 percent of the Warsaw-based workforce was affected.
