RedBird Art Studio Officially Opens With Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
WARSAW — The RedBird Art Studio had its ribbon cutting on Tuesday, Jan. 31, to formally announce the opening of Cardinal Services’ RedBird Art Studio.
Cardinal Services CEO Randy Hall spoke during the open house about the strides the studio has made since its soft opening in April of 2016.
In the studio, Cardinal Services’ clients use their creativity to make items such as pillows, greeting cards and paintings that are sold to the community.
Hall indicated the studio has become a space that individuals with disabilities have an outlet for their creativity and allows them to earn money. Sixty percent of each sale goes directly to the artist and 40 percent is put back into the studio for art supplies.
The art pieces have been featured and sold at locations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Wire & Steam Coffee Shop, CafeMod, Tippy Creek Winery, The Warsaw Community Public Library and First Friday locations.
To date, sales have exceeded $4,600 and more events and venues are in the planning stages for spring and summer.
