Robert L. Lockridge
Robert L. Lockridge, 88, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at 3:50 a.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
Bob was born March 30, 1928 in Warsaw to John Leslie and Vera (Metz) Lockridge.
He served with the United States Navy during World War ll and on Dec. 8, 1946 S1 Robert Louis Lockridge was honorably discharged.
Bob and Rose Priser were joined in marriage Nov. 1 1947 in Warsaw. They would share 69 years honoring their vows.
A lifetime Warsaw resident, Bob was owner and operator of Lockridge Construction.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #49. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending dog shows.
His wife, Rose, survives along with one granddaughter.
Bob was preceded in death by his only child, a daughter, Patty Brumfield who passed away June 21, 1995. Also preceding are siblings, two brothers and three sisters: Donald Lockridge, Eugen Lockridge, Lucy Baney, Doris Bayne and Mattie Muellen.
A graveside service memorializing Bob’s life will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate and military honors will be presented by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and its VFW Post #1126.
It has been requested that memorial gifts in Bob’s memory be directed to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1906.
