KOSCIUSKO — REAL Services, Inc. and event co-host, Saint Joseph Health System, will once again celebrate those unsung heroes in Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall and St. Joseph counties. These heroes are people from all walks of life including individuals, businesses, agencies, programs and professionals who give of themselves to care for the elderly, disabled and low-income populations in our communities.
Nominations are now being accepted for eight award categories:
- Business of the Year
- Wyatt Mick Volunteer of the Year
- Caregiver of the Year
- Professional of the Year
- Les Fox Hoosier Lifetime Award
- Change Agent of the Year
- Agency/Program Serving Low-income Award
- Sgt. Shriver Lifetime Achievement Award
The award winners will be recognized at the 2017 Age of Excellence Awards Luncheon Event on Tuesday, April 25 at the Century Center in downtown South Bend. The event will open at 11 a.m. with live music and lunch beginning at 11:30 a.m. The keynote speaker for the event will be Joe Theismann, former NFL star quarterback of the Washington Redskins and All American graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
