WARSAW — A Nappanee man was arrested for breaking into a home in Kosciusko County, stealing an Xbox One, TV, a Switzerland collector coin, cash and beer.
Jeffrey Donald Sandoval, 23, 504 S. Nappanee St., Nappanee, is being charged with burglary, a level 4 felony; and theft, a level six felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Nov. 15, 2016, an officer spoke with two individuals who claimed that sometime during Nov. 14 or Nov. 15, unknown subjects had forced open their patio window, entered the residence and stole an Xbox One, a 48-inch Vizio TV, cash, a Switzerland collector coin and a case of Old Milwaukee Beer.
The items stolen were worth approximately $1,220.
On Nov. 17, an officer spoke with the owner of the residence. The homeowner advised he believed that Sandoval and other individuals had burglarized his residence.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Dec. 9, an officer spoke with an individual who admitted he, Sandoval and two others had broken into the residence.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the individual stated that after the burglary, he had been given a bag of drugs that Sandoval had stolen from the residence. Sandoval traded the TV for drugs to a male in Elkhart. Sandoval sold the Xbox One to Worldwide Pawn in Elkhart. The other two individuals who helped with the burglary split the stolen cash.
Officers were able to locate the Xbox One at Worldwide Pawn.
Sandoval was booked in the Kosciusko County on Jan. 22, with a bond of $10,500 surety and cash.
