Virginia Hughes
Virginia Hughes, 83, Warsaw, passed away at 4:04 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2017, in her residence.
On Dec. 4, 1933, she was born in Columbia City, to James L. and Zella (Betzner) Wolfe. She was united in marriage to Jerry Hughes on Dec. 10, 1977, who preceded her in death Aug. 23, 2007.
Moving to Warsaw in 1977, Virginia worked as a floor inspector for Dana Weatherhead, retiring in 1992. Virginia was also a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Warsaw.
Virginia is survived by her son, Jeffery Wayne Hughes, Warsaw; her brother, William Wolfe, Barbourville, Ky.; sister-in-law, Lois Wolfe, Columbia City; three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jane Fuller and two brothers, James E. Wolfe Jr. and Ronald Wolfe.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw with Pastor Mike Mueller of Redeemer Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Visitation hours will be from 10–11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24 in the funeral chapel.
