Phyllis A. Myers, 88, Columbia City, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017 at Miller’s at Oak Pointe where she was admitted on Friday.
She was born Feb. 13, 1928 in Washington Township, Porter County, a daughter of Asa and Marie A. (Blue) Ross. Her formative years were spent in the Valparaiso area.
On Oct. 4, 1946 she married William E. Koser. Mr. Koser died March 7, 1985.
In 1994 Phyllis moved to Warsaw.
On May 23, 2007 she married John G. Myers. They have made their home in Columbia City.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, American Legion Post #98 Auxiliary and a life member of V.F.W. Auxiliary from Huntington.
Surviving relatives include her husband, John and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20 at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City with visitation after 12 Noon. The burial will be in South Park Annex Cemetery.
