Jacquelynn Belman Wiersema
Jacquelynn Wiersema, 61, Rochester, formerly of Silvis, Ill. passed away Jan. 16, 2017 at Woodlawn Hospital Rochester.
A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Silvis. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 4 p.m. at Schroder Mortuary in Silvis. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Jacqui was born Dec. 6, 1955 in Moline, Ill. the first born child of Jess H. and Cleo O. Hernandez Belman. She married Dennis Wiersema Dec. 30, 1977 in East Moline, Ill. Jacqui moved to Rochester in 2003. She worked and retired from Sears Distribution Parts Center with over 15 years of service. She was a member of the Black Top Cruisers Car Club in Rochester, and enjoyed hiking and traveling. She loved her dogs and was an avid Cubs fan.
Survivors include her companion of 22 years, Arnold E Powell Jr (Sonny); step children: Dawn Wiersema and Donnie Wiersema; siblings: Denise Shearer, Christopher Belman, Mark (Linda) Belman, Robert (Julie) Belman, Loretta (Paul) Blieu and Eric (Laurie) Belman; nieces and nephews: Thomas Shearer, Zachary Belman, Brett Hart, Michael Belman, Sarah Belman, Jessica (Matt) Shannon, Jaime Kelley, Jillian Belman, Sophie Belman, Jennifer Blieu and Catherine Blieu and a great niece, Kayleigh. Jacqui was preceded in death by her parents.
