Wawasee Gymnastics: Warriors Run Away With Plymouth Invite
PLYMOUTH — It was a runaway victory for the Wawasee gymnastics team Saturday at the Plymouth Invitational. The Warriors earned a team score of 103.45, well ahead of second place DeKalb (96.8) and third place Warsaw (96.5).
Reagan Atwood dominated the meet for Wawasee as she took first in three individual events as well as the all-around. Atwood earned an 8.9 on vault to take first, a 9.55 on floor for another first, tied for first on beam (8.75) and was third on bars (8.4). The junior earned a 35.6 in the all-around to beat out Taylor Burhans (34.85) of Muncie Burris.
Jada Parzygnot was second on floor with a 9.35 for Wawasee and was also second on bars with an 8.5.
Warsaw was led by Remi Beckham who took fourth in the all-around (34.4). Beckham was fourth on vault (8.75) and beam (8.65) while tying for third on floor (9.2) and tying for 10th on floor with a 7.8.
Warsaw hosts Homestead Tuesday while Wawasee will host West Noble.
