Registration Underway For Spring Continuing Education
SYRACUSE — Registration began Monday, Jan. 9, for spring 2017 continuing education classes offered by the Wawasee Community School Corp.
Registration fees must accompany each registration. Enrollments are limited, so early registrations will be given preference. Your check will be returned if the class is filled or cancelled. No refunds will be made after the first class is held.
Classes are one day each week unless stated otherwise. Classes being offered are as follows:
• GED/high school equivalency, began Jan. 10, 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, Center for Academic Progress building (across from the administration building), no charge for this class
• Swimming, April 11-27, times vary depending on age and level, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (nine classes, three weeks), Wawasee High School pool, basic swimming and safety skills, $45
• Water exercise, Feb. 16-March 28, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday (12 classes), WHS pool, will work on all muscle groups, $40
• Pound rockout workout, March 7-23, 6:30 to 7:15 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday (six classes, three weeks), WHS fitness room on second floor of annex gym, variations of exercise performed to the beat of music, $40
• Planetarium experience, Feb. 16-March 23, 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday (six classes, six weeks), Wawasee Middle School Planetarium, learn about stars and constellations, $40
• Fastest scrappin’ in the Midwest, Feb. 27, 6 to 7 p.m., one class only, Warrior Room at WHS, learn about Picture My Life pocket scrapbooking, $20
• Love your pockets, March 6, 6 to 7 p.m., one class only, Warrior Room at WHS, learn how to glamorize pocket pages, $20
