LCA Basketball: Ladies Roll To Victory
WINONA LAKE – Everyone got into the act for the Lakeland Christian Academy girls basketball team Tuesday night.
Ten different players filled the basket as the host Cougars defeated Cornerstone Christian 73-25.
Hope Fancil had another huge offensive night for the winners as she poured in 31 points in the win.
LCA, which piled up a total of 28 steals in the victory, led 12-6 after the opening period and 33-13 at halftime. The hosts then outscored Cornerstone 40-12 in the second half.
Jess Slone also had a big night for the Cougars with 15 points to go with 10 rebounds.
Melissa Goss netted seven points to go with seven rebounds and eight assists for LCA. Brady Gross had four points and grabbed 10 rebounds.
Heather Plastow scored four points and the duo of Anna Reimink and Maddie Paris each added three points. The trio of Hannah Salmons, Abigail Fishel and Winnie Kyandaluba each scored two points.
LCA, which improves to 8-8 with the win, hosts Mishawaka Christian on Thursday night.
