Janet R. Crum
Janet R. Crum, 69, Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly at 8:50 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth Campus.
She was born Aug. 26, 1947, at Leiters Ford to John and Ellen (Bauman) Rosebaum. She was a lifetime resident of the area; Janet worked at the Plymouth Wal-Mart and retired from the jewelry department where she was dedicated to caring for her customers while greeting them with her welcoming smile. She will be missed by many customers, family and friends.
She married Leroy Crum at Argos on June 9, 1966; he preceded her in death Oct. 6, 1999.
Janet is survived by her daughters: Rhonda and David Harshman of Rochester; Lynn Froeschke of Plymouth; Judy Griswold of Plymouth; Christine and Dale Devon of Granger; Teresa Dennis of South Bend; and Gary and Patricia Crum of Florida. She was blessed with fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara and Richard Miller of Argos; two brothers: John and Betty Rosebaum of Hanna and Howard and Clara Rosebaum of Plymouth. She greatly enjoyed her great granddaughter Gracie.
Preceding her in death were her parents and a step daughter, Vicki Evans in 1987.
A funeral service in honor of Janet will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11. in the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street Plymouth, IN 46563, with Chaplain Alex Jack officiating. Burial will be in Burr Oak Cemetery, Culver, Indiana.
A time of visiting with the Crum family will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10 in the Van Gilder Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m.
