Gene A. Seidner
Gene A. Seidner, 87, Rochester, passed away at 11:55 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at his residence.
He was born June 30, 1929 in Ora, the son of Raymond Guy and Edith Elizabeth (Burkett) Seidner. Gene was an United States Army veteran having served in the Korean War. On May 23, 1953 at the First Christian Church in Rochester, he married Enid Ilagene Seidner and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2011.
Gene worked for Dean Foods for over thirty four years retiring Dec. 31, 1994. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church and enjoyed reading and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Survivors include his children: Steven Lee and wife Linda Seidner, Fort Wayne; Rebecca Lynne Brandenburg, Rochester; grandchildren: Jeremy Drudge, Rochester; Jamie Drudge, Rochester; Kandi Brandenburg, Rochester; Shane and wife Rachel Seidner, Briceville, Tenn.; Shanna and husband Steve Constant, Wartburg, Tenn.; step-grandchildren: Scott and wife Heather Brandenburg, Cassopolis, Mich.; Corey Brandenburg, Rochester; nine great grandchildren; sister, Marlene Clark, Soap Lake, Wash.; Pat Taylor, Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Bill and wife Shirley Willard, Rochester; step-sister, Wilma Tullis, Macy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Jim Willard; brother, Robert Seidner; step-sisters, Louise Vernon Skidmore, Shirley Wagoner; step-brother, Chad Willard.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13 at Citizens Cemetery, Rochester where military graveside services will be conducted by the Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard.
