Bible Studies And Marriage Seminars Coming Up At The Y
WARSAW — This winter the Kosciusko Community YMCA wants to help you grow spiritually and relationally as they offer two bible studies and a series of marriage seminars. You don’t have to be a member of the Y to participate in these opportunities, they’re open to everyone.
A Bible Study on the Gospel of Mark and communion starts from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Jan. 11 through Feb. 15, for age 16 and older. This study will meet in the chapel. No registration is necessary, this study is free, come as you are able. Communion will be offered every week.
A 7-week course for people who would like to investigate Christianity or brush up on the basics will start on Wednesday, Feb. 22. “Christianity Explored” is a study through Mark, the 2nd book in the New Testament of the Bible. This study will explore who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him. This study will be led by Marc Goodwin, Executive and Preaching Pastor at Christ’s Covenant Church and Matt Goebel, the YMCA’s Director of Christian Emphasis. This study will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Feb. 22 through March 29. Please register by Feb. 17.
The YMCA is partnering with Crosswinds Counseling to offer a seminar titled “Maximizing Your Marriage” over the course of 6 months. These seminars will be interactive and educational and will include various assessments and exercises addressing the topic covered each month. The first seminar, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25,“Communication 101” will cover healthy communication basics, expressing feelings and the when, where, why and how of communicating.
